I Hav never used tape i dont beleive in the stuff wen u pullit off it can cause issues or flick dirt onto the painted surface if you know wot ur doin you wont need tape ever

Unfortunately tool theft is a RAMPANT business in the uk and these plates etc serve only to give the user a little bit of extra peace of mind, in reality if they want it, theyll get it. I've had a good experience with ratchet strapping my rear sliding doors, you can pull them tight enough where its not even possible to get your fingers into the groove for the "peeling" attack to be possible. A heavy duty puck lock on the rear door and its about as safe as you're going to get without them simply taking the entire motor.
